Accessing Windows live mail from another computer

They keep saying this can be done but I have not figured out how. I have been googling for hours!!!

I have the live mail on my computer and finally am getting used to it. When I travel I want to be able to see my live mail from my laptop. I have set up a live.com email address and account. I have watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV_5VuQOvV8&feature=related. He checks his live account from the internet. I don't know how old this is. He has and uses buttons that I don't have. Can anyone tell me how to do this or at least direct me to understandable instructions? Thanks,

I don't know if this helps you out: I have 3 email accounts on windows live mail (1 hotmail and 2 gmail). The gmail accounts I can access through google.com, the hotmail account through hotmail.com.

thanks zorba but I understand that through live.com I am supposed to be able to access my windows live mail and be able to read all the email and even make changes that will show up on my "base" computer. That is what the guy does on the youtube link above.
