dell Inspiron 1720 base system device driver missing

Hey, I have a inspiron 1720 that i reinstalled vista home premium (64bit) on. I have all the drivers but one. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to find it. it for the base system device. i have already downloaded the chipset for the system and this didnt solve the problem. I also tried downloading the richo version chipset and this didnt work either. so if someone has any idea where i can find the right driver i would be greatly appreciative. thanks cory

Hi

Download the 64 bit Ricoh R5c833 card reader driver from here http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?k=r188776.exe&rf=all&cat=sup&s=dhs&c=us&l=en&subcat=&evl= this is the driver i use for my Inspiron 1501 with Windows Vista and Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate it works just fine .

Good Luck

inspiron 1720 "base system device" - Ricoh memory card reader driver.

I was able to find drivers for this missing device using the Vista 64bit driver from HP's site:

If anyone is still looking fro drivers for the 1720 they can be found here. BTW I am running Windows 10 very happily on my 1720 with 4gb RAM and an SSD.
