windows failed to load b/c a critical system driver is missing or corrupt

Hi,

My "windows failed to load b/c a critical system driver is missing or corrupt".

File: windows/system32/Drivers/gjofl.sys

Status: 0xc0000225

Prior to this, I had received some sort of virus that microsoft security essentials claimed to quarantine. I had my doubts that it was actually successful though b/c I was still receiving a weird pop-up msg.  So, I also ran malware bytes. After the malware bytes scan, but before I had a chance to restart, my computer accidentally became unplugged and died (the battery is shot). After trying to turn it on again, I received the error msg.

I have tried booting up in safe mode and it doesn't work.

I also ran diagnostics -- the only msg I received was: "diagnostics not found on utility partition". I have no idea what that means.

I am being prompted to insert my installation disc to repair my comp, but windows was preinstalled by dell so I don't have that option.  Someone informed me that if you phoned Dell, they would send you the disc.  Does anyone know if this is true?  If not, what on earth do I do next???

Please help!
