I don't know what you are talking about. Your hard drive is still 250GB. Note the number 238475.
Looks what happened is that during the install process, you created a partition on the internal hard drive. You apparently also did not format it because it does not show up.
This is what happens when you don't know what you are doing during the Ubuntu install process.
Were you able to install Ubuntu on the external hard drive? When you boot up do you see Grub with the choice of booting into either Windows or Ubuntu?
