XPS 9100 Graphic Card Question
Just wondering if someone can confirm what I think my problem is.
I just got a XPS 9100, it was the base model, so I added 12g of ram and a second hard drive, restarted my computer and confirmed everything was working.
But when I swapped out the graphics card, the computer starts beeping and does not boot up, put the old graphics card back, everything is fine.
Could this be because I don't have enough power for the PSU? I was already thinking about upgrading it anyways, just confirming that this is most likely my problem.
Thanks.

what video card are you installing and what is the old one that worked?? your system has a 525w power supply that should handle a decent card.

I picked up a Radeon HD 5750, but I don't know if its working or not.
If you think the power supply is good for a decent card, then my card might be indeed bad.
Thanks for the reply.

your 525w power supply should be enough to run the HD 5750
there is a 6pin plug that needs to be plugged into the back of your graphics card .... did you plug the 6 pin power supply cord into the graphics card?
