Dell Power6248 capture network traffic
Hi,
We have 9 dell 6248P in a stack.
I'm optimizing network traffic and noticed to capture packets (with Wireshark) that putting network cad of a computer connected to the switch in promiscuos mode, it recives all unicast packets on the network, when I think you sould only receive multicast or broadcast packets.
Can you help me, please?

Hi,
Are you sure that you get all unicast traffic? From 9 switch stack it will be a real storm.
Maybe you have special configuration on interface where computer with Wireshark is connected?
Switch sends only unknown unicast traffic to all interfaces. Can someone or something overflow your switch stack MAC address table?

Thanks four your reply. I think we have an asymetric routing problem:

Our network infraestructure is very similar and we think there ara loops with vlans.
Now, I want to capture traffic with vlan's tag in all frames.
