Poweredge T710 - IPconflict

Hi all,

Last week we installed a Power edge T710 server on the network..

Ever since, our time server has complained about an ipconflict.

The Time server says it has an IP conflict on IP address *.*.*.61 with a device with MAC address F0-4D-A2-3F-75-8F

the problem is, I can't find any device using this MAC address and therefore its IP address.

The Dell Poweredge has 4 NICs, 3 are disabled. .The 3 MAC addresses are very similar to the MAC that timeserver is complaining about but NOT identical.

The last 2 digits on all 4 NICs are different but they all start with  F0-4D-A2-3F-75-__

IP address of poweredge is *.*.*.248

I ran a ping range on both poweredge and time server and then used arp - a to read back MAC addresses.

I got a list of MAC address from each but none where F0-4D-A2-3F-75-8F.

When you http://*.*.*.61 you hit a Dell open manage login screen..When you disconnect poweredge from the network and repeat you no longer get the DELL open manage login screen so this is why we think the poweredge is causing a conflict..

I suppose my question is..... can the poweredge somehow be using MAC F0-4D-A2-3F-75-8F ?

Has anyone else seen issues with server 2008 doing similar?
