This error is most likely due to a problem with the list of boot devices in the BIOS. Please boot to the BIOS (F2) and check. The screen will look something like this, and your hard drive should be first on the list:
Hi my inspiron 1545 says no bootable device found. In bios it says primary hard drive none. And the hardrive works fine because i put it into another pc and it works fine. How do I get the bios to see the hard drive. And in this particular model (1545) the uefi and legacy options are missing.

No bootable device, but hitting F1 makes pc boot normally.

Did you check the BIOS as I suggested above? What did you find under boot devices?
