Hi Warpkun,

I think what you need to do is update the BIOS. What's the model number? Hint: there's no XPS 480.

Obviously, if you know how to find downloads, you could go there and get everything you need. But I'm happy to help if you need it.

Here's the BIOS update. This can be installed from DOS.

You can find all of your drivers here.

Let me know if you're still having trouble with that new drive.

Are you using the Vista disc that came with your computer?

I don't believe the problem is with your hard drive, and there are no special drivers for that particular drive.

yeah I am...but yeah its not a hard drive problem just Dell doesn't have the software drive for me to load

so my windows can fully download onto the hard drive..been looking for it for awhile now..

Dell has the ST3000+ but I see no ST2000s I found a cool site which might have it...Intels site

so I will be checking around there since I read many forums that it has is somewhere on their site!!

That's a firmware update, not a driver. You do not have a driver problem.
