Dell Inspiron 1750 with QX9300?
Hey guys,
I currently have a Dell Inspriron 1750 with the latest AO6 BIOS.
It has the GM45 chipset and a socket 478 CPU socket, according to the Intel database, the core 2 extreme CPU (the QX9300 quad core) should work in this laptop, the only problem I can forsee is if Dell haven't updated the BIOS to work with this CPU.
Does anyone have any experience with this, or know if this would be a successful venture?

Since it was never shipped with the system, it is unlikely to work - and it's a waste of money in this system. The bottleneck in the system will simply be the video chipset, which cannot be upgraded.
