Restoring Inspiron B120 to factory settings

I am trying  to restore my Inspiron  B120 to factory settings.

When I reboot and press F8, I.m directed to the

Advanced Boot Option Menu, however there doesn't appear

"Repair your computer " option.

Any and all suggestion are sincerely appreciated.

A B120 most likely shipped with XP - if so, the restore trip is CTRL-F11, not F8.  However, if that doesn't bring up a restore menu, you'll need to do a manual install.

Thanks EJN63.  CTRL+F11 did the trick.  I'm now in the process of restoring pgms.

It's great to have super people like yourself helping people like myself.

You attempted to help me last week with my Inspiron 1000.

I followed your instruction in removing the HD And booting.

It only goes to the Dell window & I have to unplug to turn off.

You said it meant other issues.  Any ideas.

If there's a memory module in the system, try reseating (remove and reinstall) it.
