Dell Inspiron 570 - Can't get past BIOS Password

Question

I can't boot computer. On startup I get Enter Password: I never setup a Bios password. It happened all of a sudden. Is this because of a Virus I might have picked up. I had MS Security Essentials working and up to date. I removed hard drive and backed up all my files and folders and I have original Windows 7 OS disc along with drivers disc. My question is if I Format HD and re-install windows am I then, going to be able to get by Enter Password: on bootup. F2, F12 Esc and Delete keys don't get me to options...just Enter Password: Of course, I would rather not do all of that but even if I do will I get by first screen. Thanks for any help....... Steev

If this is the BIOS password, the procedure to clear it is here <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>. If it's the result of a virus, try the OS restore procedure.
