Facing Problem with Dell Inspiron N-5010

Hai,

       Few months back I charged my Laptop in a Train,then after a day my laptop didn't  ON.After that frequently I got problem of booting my laptop and system gets very slow.I came reinstalling OS and software to rectify my problem.Now I suspected Hard disk and replaced with new one(WD-old;Seagate-New),but I am unable to install OS on the new HDD either Win-7 or Win-XP.

   I tried by running my system with out battery and HDD with Hiren Boot cd,still my system is getting hot and getting OFF unexpectedly.

              Please help me in this issue.

Hi ravi.vutukuri,

Please put back the old western digital hard drive and try running the PSA diagnostic in the system. In case the system is not powering on or the test is not running put the Seagate hard drive and run the test. Please follow the steps below to run the PSA diagnostic to check the hardware is working as designed.

Turn the computer off >restart the computer

 At the Dell logo screen, start tapping the F12 key a few times until you see the ‘One Time Boot Menu’ appear.

 At the one time boot menu, press the down arrow key to highlight ‘Diagnostic’, and then press Enter to begin the PSA diagnostics.

Please make a note of any error codes listed if the test fails. You can refer to the link below.
