Choppy video after upgrading to windows 8

After upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8, streaming video is very choppy.  Worked great in windows 7, did a clean install.  Not an Internet speed problem.  Video files (avi, mp4,... ect) play just fine.  Latest driver installed.  Ati 4330 mobility radeon, would appreciate any advice.

Hi Fragile1976,

We can perform few steps to check if the issue gets resolved:

  1. While streaming a video right on the video.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Uncheck the Option for “Enable Hardware Acceleration”. Here if the image for your reference:

  4. Click Ok.
  5. Try to play the video again and check.
  6. Try with a different browser (if available like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome).

If issue persists, update the Adobe Flash Player on the computer.

Please post the results.

Unfortunately upgrading flash and turning off hardware acceleration didn't  help.

Turned off all background programs, cpu is at 0-2%

Hi Fragile1976,

To isolate the issue please provide the following information:

  1. From how many days are you facing this issue?
  2. Does it happen only in one browser (i.e., in Internet Explorer) or even in other browser?
  3. Also, have you checked if the issue occurs while playing a video files stored on the Hard Drive (i.e., sample videos or movies)?

Also, please update the video drivers and check.

Please post the results.

After uninstalling and reinstalling flash and the video driver, the problem seems to be fixed.
