Does anyone have one of these to sell? Dell doesn't have them, can't  find a reliable source, compaticle part numbers are something like 8T687 X4680 JP130 JP131 YY969.

Hi Keith231,

This is the media bay hard drive caddy, right? I think Ebay is your best choice.

This is a long time after your post, but do you still need a second hard drive module 8T687-A00?

I was re-organizing my storage closet and found this hard drive in original DELL box and was wondering what it originally was purchased for. I doesn't seem to go to any computer that I have now.

Hello, 8t687-A00 is the part number for the second hard drive module, or YY969.

Just a small word of warning, for some reason these units are for IDE drives, which I find strange as Laptops from this time period onwards were pretty much always using SATA interface drives, a small converter will remedy this but it's an extra expense you do not plan for.
