Inspiron 3521 video issue
Hello,
Recently I purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 I5-3317U ;AMD RADEON HD 8730M 2G DDR3 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
In general I'm very pleased with the performance of the notebook so far but I have one major issue.
I installed all the drivers from Dell Support and I never had any device recognition problems.
However, the issue is related to the AMD RADEON HD 8730M video card(Intel Graphics is working perfectly). At first I checked the official AMD website for a driver but didn't find for any of the 8000 series and downloaded and installed this driver:

The device was recognized correctly and seemed to be working properly. The problem is that when I play a game (TESV:Skyrim) I don't have the option of selecting the 8730M as the primary video adapter.

Game still runs but I'm not sure whether the AMD HD 8730M is taking part in the action. So, my questions are is there are a way to check this and if there is how; are these the correct drivers and is there a reason why AMD hasn't released any official drivers yet.

The "primary" video device will always be the Intel GPU - it's the only one that has a connection to the display panel. Data processed by the AMD GPU is routed through the Intel GPU to the display - this is the way the system is designed.
Set up the game to run with the AMD GPU through the switching graphics control panel. AMD doesn't provide drivers for OEM video chips -- you must get the drivers from Dell, not AMD.
You can verify that the AMD GPU is in use with the Windows Experience Index - run it after selecting to run the Windows Experience Index with the AMD GPU in the control panel.
Note: you'll have to check with the game publisher for support on switching graphics. Many games don't work, or don't work well, with switching graphics. You may need an update from the game publisher to make the setup work.

Yes, it's part of that -- there's usually a separate icon for the "switching graphics" option as well.

Appreciate your fast response.
Only one thing I can't quite figure out - "Set up the game to run with the AMD GPU through the switching graphics control panel." - by saying switching graphics control panel you mean "Catalyst Control Center"?
