This appears to be a DVD writer. I don't see anything indicating it can play blu ray discs. Was any documentation provided with the laptop indicating it can play blu ray discs?
No I wouldn't have thought it was until I was perusing the faqs page on the description page provided by Dell & saw that statement and since the info was from Dell I got curious in this regard guess it was an error maybe if I point it out to Dell
they'll give me a play on a Blu-Ray drive as I said I purchased it through QVC instead of Dell directly Hah Ha

Please post the model number of your CD/DVD/BD drive, which you can find in device manager.

again the faqs re: system provided by Dell say drive will play but not record Blu-rays (purchased through Q.V.C.
