it will come with easy cd creator, this also burns dvds. if you can find a deal for "nero" i would suggest jumping on it (there is a free downloadable demo on their site). it all depends on what you want to burn, i like nero because you can verify a disk after it is written, and you can burn video files (although you need knowhow and other programs to backup a movie). personally i'm sick of the dvd+r drives that dell is selling, and they don't offer any support (I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE MY DRIVE COULD READ A PRESSED DVD IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY EVEN THO IT COULD NOT READ DISCS BURNT WITH THAT DRIVE AND OTHER DRIVES COULD) i hate people that write in caps but i am so upset about the whole thing. if i could do it again (and i might still, and you might want to) i would get an external usb2 enclosure for $30 and an 8x drive for $100 and call it a night. but best of luck to you, look around in this forum if it isn't too late to cancell your order, and see how others fared with your drive.
