Resolved - Customer service (or lack thereof)

I purchased a Latitude from the Dell Outlet Center and it was delivered on 6/25.  I like the machine and wanted to extend my warranty.  That's where the nightmare began.  First I did it online and everything went fine until the next day when I received an email saying my order was cancelled.  I called the customer line and got switched to 3 different people.  No one could tell me why the order was cancelled.  To make a long story short I have been on the phone with Dell for a week and a half and still no resolution.  Don't buy from the outlet center.  If the service tag was previously owned you will never get it straightened out. I'm a very frustrated and unhappy customer!

Hi Frances,

Thank you for your interest. Here is the information:

The current Warranty expires on 6/25/2016.  I want to extend it out to 2018 and got a quote of $297.59 and tax was 20.83 for a total of $318.42. Anything you can do will be appreciated. I tried 3 times online and the order was never confirmed and I've be talked to Sales, Tech Support and Customer Service and each time they transfer me to someone new. I can email you the original order if you need it. This was a Dell Outlet Center purchase. Anything you can do to point me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Frances,

My order finally got confirmed.  If that was because of your intervention, I'm very grateful.  I got the confirmation about 5 minutes ago.  Thanks again for all your help.

Thank you,

Charles Boynton

Well for anyone who is following this thread, DELL came through.  I was able to purchase the warranty I wanted.  I suspect Frances had something to do with it and I'm very grateful.:emotion-2:
