dell diagnostic's find a USB error, that I can not fix. Believe it is from the webcam.
Dell Precision M6400, upgraded. USB / Webcam Problem
Recently Purchased a used M6400, and I have loaded it up with optional extras. x9300 quad, 1mg video card fx3800, 16gb ram, SSD primary drive and a HGST (now WD owned) 500GB 6.0 transfer rate hard drive, backlit keyboard, an a internal Webcam.
Started with an empty SSD drive installed windows 7 ultimate, completed all up grades from windows.
Next I moved to load dell drivers, installed all required and than some.
Now, I am have a problem with something in the USB drivers. In windows, devise manager shows no problems at all. But in running Dell Diagnostics I keep getting this error message. What Does This Mean?
I've added all the drivers even looked for more, still the error comes up. It was suggested to remove all of the USB Root in Device Manager from the bottom up and still I have the same problem.
OK, I believe I have tracked this down to the webcam, the dell webcam diagnostics work fine. Yet the problem is still there.... Yes Windows shows the unit is there under imaging products, but Dell does not see it when I run current configurations. I am really at my whit's end.
I am now attempting to find a copy of Dell webcam program for win7 64bit, I can not find it in the drivers. Also is the mic driver included in this, because I have not found any yet.
Any Real Techies Out there
A Big thank you in advance.

Hi hdpartman,
Have you checked all USB ports on the system with a pen drive or USB mouse?
