U2913WM no 2560x1080 on Nvidia GTX650 DVI?

My monitor will only work at 2560x1080 with a VGA cable, with a DVI cable the text is unreadable.  Spent $600 on a monitor that can't even use a digital signal.  Abysmal. I have the exact same issue. I have tried the monitor on three different computers that have graphics cards that run 2560x1080 and the text is always blurry and unreadable, but when I go to a lower resolution the text is fine. My main computer has a GTX 650 card that should have no issue with this resolution. I even sent the original monitor back to Dell and received a replacement from them that has the same problem. What is going on?  Why won't this monitor display properly in it's "recommended" resolution? I am running Windows 7 professional.

HoustonInSeattle,

What specific Dell computer is connected to the monitor?

Are you testing using the Dell supplied DVI-D Dual-Link Cable?

If two U2913WM have the same issue, that points to either the cabling, video card, or the video card driver.

Hi Chris,

I recently purchased Dell2913WM. I hooked it up with my laptop levnovo t400 with Dell provided DVI cable but I could only get to 1680x1050. But if I use VGA, then no problem to get 2560x1080.

Again, it's Dell provided DVI cable which has all the pins.

Can you shed some light here please...

Thanks,

James
