Inspiron 15 (N5050) Blank Screen After Reopening Lid Issue

Hi,

I have a Inspiron 15 (N5050) Laptop with Windows 7, and every time I close the lid, and reopen it, it appears as if my computer shuts down. It doesn't hibernate or go into sleep mode. All I see is a blank black screen with no screen to login. I have to manually hard reboot it by holding down the power button. Is there a fix for this? 

P.S I have updated the most recent video drivers.
