Dell XPS 13 ultrabook keys stopped working

I have a 1,5 year old XPS 13 ultrabook. Since a week a number of keys stopped working without any obvious reason. I noticed first with the G and H key which sometimes didn't respond. This became worse and now they don't do anything anymore. I tested the other keys and so far also the F4, F5 and F6 keys stopped working.

How to get this fixed?

Thanks!

I found the solution on this forum in this post from ahmittal: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19469674.aspx

For all, the following steps fixed the issue for me:

- Shutdown the computer.

- Keep Fn key pressed and press the On key. Turn the computer on; Keep the Fn key pressed.

- Let it run the test. If aok, move ahead and restart the computer.

- Keep F2 key pressed during reboot.

- Goto the Exit menu and select 'Load default setp config'

- Save and exit and reboot.

This fixed the keyboard issue for me too.

Try a USB keyboard.  If it works, replace the internal keyboard.
