Intel Rapid Start Technology on inspiron 14z

Question

I have an inspiron 14z that came preloaded with windows 7. I upgraded it to windows 8. After upgrading the intel rapid start technology did not  work. the computer did not rise as quickly from sleep as earlier. Windows 8( now upgraded to 8.1) is installed on ATA mode. It crashes when I change the hard disk mode to intel smart response technology and enable the rapid start technology. Please help urgently

Hi Yashm, Please refer to this thread for some help. The controller must be set to RAID mode in the BIOS to enable Rapid Start Technology.

I am extremely extremely sorry for a late reply. I cannot find RAID mode in bios.
