Using a USB modem
Is there any way to use an AT&T BEAM (NetGear/Sierra 340U - USB Broadband modem w/SIM card) with the Dell Venue 11 Pro?

Is there any way to use an AT&T BEAM (NetGear/Sierra 340U - USB Broadband modem w/SIM card) with the Dell Venue 11 Pro?

Yes it is possible. I got it to work only by using the docking station. I had to connect tablet to the station and air-card to it as well. It seems the tablet's USB output is not sufficient.

Yes, I got it to work via the stocking station as well. I then complained that the tablet USB port was not backward compatible with USB 2.0, they took it into one of their service centers, worked on it, sent it back and now the tablet USB port works well with the device.

It works for me in the docking station.

Any more details on what the change/fix was. I'm hoping it's just a matter of changing a USB related setting or perhaps a BIOS setting.
