Tablet Name on VMWare View or RDP Session all the same- POCKETCLOUD

Question Tablet Name on VMWare View or RDP Session all the same- POCKETCLOUD

I use PocketCloud Pro to connect to a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 via VMWare View 5 or RDP. In the desktop session, the Android device name is always POCKETCLOUD, immaterieal of the Android device connected. In other words, if I use a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet on Android 3.1 connected to a server and I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 connected to the same server, both devices are identified with the same Client Name as POCKETCLOUD during their remote sessions. How can I change this so each Android (or iPad2 for that matter) device that connects to the same server have unique Client names for their corresponding sessions?

Interestingly, I also have an iPad2 with PocketCloud Pro. The iPad2's Client Name shows up as the server name... odd!

Is there a way to embed a unique identifier to the app installation? Possibly an Enterprise version a plant for PocketCloud so its RDP sessions can be uniquely identified by its installation app?

If further discussion is required, please contact me via email and I will provide a phone number so we can discuss my R&D initiatives and importance of this identifier marker on RDP sessions.

Rolly, are you running 2.2.231? This version was released this week. I have tested multiple devices with the current live build installed and within the Task Manager I am seeing the device name rather than POCKETCLOUD. Where are you seeing this behavior still?

Good to hear. As for when the fix will be out on the Android side, unfortunately I do not have a ETA on that yet.

Thanks for the feedback. We have a fix for this in the next iOS release (due out this week) and we are working on a fix for the Android side currently. My apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing you, but we are working on it!

Unhappy iOS Update No Good

The latest iOS update didn't resolve the issue. Whether VMWare View or RDP connection, the session still pulls the server name instead of iPad name. Hopefully the Android version works.

Thumbs up Disregard. Issue Resolved.

Disregard it. I contacted our software developer and figured out a minor command line edit and now works fine. The server app now recognizes the actual iPad device name. Any ideas when the Android fix will be available?

Thank you very much for your timely responses.
