Nope, because you are working with large file transfer. Maxtor HDs, however, are optimized for reading/writing large chunk of data like video files.

In this case very little, the point of an 8MB buffer on a large drive is to match the performance of a smaller drive (20GB or so) with a 2MB buffer.
