Keyboard wont let me login to desktop

Keyboard wont let me login to desktop

Hi

I can connect to my desktop but when I try to use my keyboard to login to Windows then nothing happens.

I'm using Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and the latest versions of PocketCloud on both my Phone (Samsung Galaxy - 2.2).

Please could you give me some advice?

Thanks in advance.

Jazz,

Is it Samsung Galaxy Tab or Galaxy S device?
Could you please explain how exactly to reproduce this issue? Are you talking about Windows login screen when you click on PC name to login and then you see Windows Login screen to enter user name and password?
Can you use keyboard in any other places (like Creating new conenctions)?

If you press and hold PC name to EDIT
Enter user name and password
Then you do not need to enter it in Windows login screen

Let me know if it worked

Hi Lana - Thanks for getting back to me.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S i1900 mobile phone

I don't know how best to describe how to reproduce, I setup PocketWyse using the AutoDetect features and it worked fine and then for some reason it just stopped letting me login (it could have been the recent update, I don't remember using it since then).

It would connect to my computer fine to the Windows Login screen but then when I click in the boxes to enter my username or password the keyboard would appear but won't let me do anything. The keyboard works fine in every other part of my phone so I don't know what the problem could be.

I followed your advice and entered my user / pass as you described and it lets me on just fine and the keyboard works when controlling windows just as it should

One more problem now though, when I log back onto my actual desktop PC all the icons move to the resolution that's on my phone, it used to be that I could scroll across my desktop (even when I had the free trial version) but now it seems to move the icons across instead :-S - Any idea what that could be?

Thanks for your time

Jazz

Hi Suchitha

Yes I can, the keyboard comes up fine but it won't let me enter text into the box.

Bizarrely if I press a key lots then occasionally the character I'm pressing comes up but then it deletes itself straight away.

The keyboard works fine once I'm actually able to access Windows using the method given by Lana.

Jazz,

Let me look at this problem with icons move/resolution.
Thank you for letting us know.

About keyboard issue. If you go to Android Settings > Locale and Text
Check if you have SWYPE keyboard checkbox checked. If SWYPE keyboard is checked then you wont have this problem with key input. You should be able to type all key just fine.

Let me know if it worked

Best Regards

Hi everyone,
I also have the same issue where I type something in a field and it will not allow me to enter all the character as it deletes as I input. This was never an issue before I updated recently. It worked like a charm with the keyboard set to Samsung for the Galaxy S Phone. I just tried the Skype and its working. Is there a way where we can use the Samsung keyboard just like prior to the update?

Skype is working at the moment with they keyboard issue.

Thanks for the help.
