Wyse USB Firmware tool errorl: USB drive is not valid?

Wyse USB Firmware tool errorl: USB drive is not valid?

I'm trying to write to a USB using the Wyse USB Firmware tool and I get the message:

"Either USB drive is not valid, or less than 1 GB. Application will exit now."

After clicking OK, the application exits.

This has a occurred with a generic 1 GB drive and a Lexar 32 GB Jumpdrive (USB 3.0). What drives are "valid"?

I found the cause of this problem. When using Wyse USB Firmware Tool on Windows 7, it is necessary to run the program as an administrator (e.g. context click and select 'run as administrator'). Nonetheless, I think the error message produced by the program is misleading.

Incidentally, there is a typo in the title of this thread "too errorl" should read "tool error".

Thank you, this helped.
