Win7 Post Clean Install Device Manager Questions

Hi all, I just did a clean re-install on Windows 7 on my XPS 8700 (due to putting in a new SDD). All went well and it's working great, but there are two item in Device Manager with exclamation marks that I can't seem to get rid of. These are SM Bus Controller and Other Device. I tried searching for a driver update but none were found..

The thing is, everything I want to do on my machine is working fine as it is, so my questions are, can I just disable or uninstall these things? What are they for? Etc...

Oh yeah, one other important question. When I did the re-install, I never got prompted to activate windows. But in Control Panel -> System, it DOES show that's it's been activated and it shows a product key. What's up with this?? I mean its fine, I just don't want any unpleasant surprises later on.

Thanks!

Did you install Intel Management Technology?

http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02057483M/2/ME_Intel_Win_A02_DMNV3_setup_ZPE.exe

Dell Windows 7 OEM licenses utilize OEM SLP activation. For Windows 7 the 25 digit Dell SLP key is input from the Reinstallation DVD and Windows is automatically activated if the BIOS contains SLP markers i.e Windows only activates if a valid Dell BIOS is detected. Every Dell with Windows 7 Professional preinstalled uses the same SLP key.

Provide the hardware IDs of the unknown devices:

Thank you very much Philip!

No, I hadn't installed the Intel Management Technology, but I will now.

And that's great about the license!

Cheers.
