A07 was the first BIOS to include UEFI -- there's also an A10 BIOS, which is probably the one you should be using.

You will need to do a ground-up reinstall to enable UEFI support under WIndows.

Thanks. Do you know where I can download A07 or later BIOS. I cannot find yet on Dell site.

Unfortunately, it appears there are no BIOS updates available for the XPS 8300, on Dell's download site.

I have the same problem.

I have a Broken Dell Xps 8300 which was given to me with i7-2600, no ram, no hdd.

So now I'm trying to install windows 10 in my Kingston SSD

When I tried. It says:

****ERROR: LEGACY BOOT OF UEFI MEDIA****

This drive can only boot in UEFI mode.

It can not boot in BIOS/Legacy Mode.

So the only way for me to install it is to use

1. MBR File system

2. or to enable UEFI, which is not available in the Bios

3. Update the BIOS to A07+ (which is also not available)

Any workaround to do this or how did you install yours? Thanks
