DVD room suddenly stoped reading CD's

Question

Hi guys, my DVD room suddenly stoped opening when push the button, as well as  responding (since last month), it doesn't read any CD when I insert it, it actually says and does nothing, I use it scarcely and the laptop is just a year and half older.   It's a dell laptop inspiron 3521 and I'm running W8.1pro can anyone help me?

Enter system setup with F2 at powerup -- can you get the drive to open there? If not, the drive is faulty and will need to be replaced.

If it will open, you likely have a Windows issue with the drivers for the CD/DVD drive.
