Optiplex 790 SFF freeze-up
Optiplex 790 SFF i3 4GB (win7 OS) freezes up after turning-on for 5 to 10 min (No response from Power Button, mouse and Keyboard). I turn it off by unplugging the power cable. Then It will not turn-on after that and will not displays any front panel LED lights except for the PSU diagnostic LED. I tried to turn it on after an hour, it will turn on and freezes up again.
I already conducted BIOS Diagnostic Test. It indicates no problem in the components.
Did anyone encountered this problem? Need your help guys.
Thanks

Hi,
I would ask you to provide some more information about the issue.
*Have any recent changes (software/hardware) made to the system.
*After you login to the system check the event logs and advise if you see any error messages listed.
*Also advise if you were able to initiate the Dell diagnostics on the system by pressing the F12 Key on system startup.
Do reply to this post with the reply to the be,ow mentioned comments.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards,

How can you tell its the motherboard or PSU? I tried to test the PSU using LED diagnostic, It indicates fine and the PSU fans are working. I have 2 of this desktop with the same model and problem. thanks

Hi,
Given in this case since the psu led at the back of the system is on and check if the psu fan is spinning then system board is faulty.
Hoping this helps.
