Remix OS booting. BIOS - multiple Dell models.
I am looking to test out the Remix OS (Alpha), the Android x86 project by Jide, using the USB boot option and I can't seem to figure out how to enable Legacy mode in the BIOS. I own 3 Dell computers: Inspiron 560 (Intel), and Mini 10 (1012), and Optiplex 755 (Intel)... none of which have a clear option in the any of their BIOS settings to switch from UEFI to Legacy. I researched other Dell-specific BIOS tutorials, and some of them have options, such as "Secure Boot", "Load Legacy Option Rom", and "Boot List Option". Neither of my 3 Dell computers have any of these BIOS options. I noticed that the Inspiron 560 is confirmed to have a status of "certified for Ubuntu" under the A04 Legacy BIOS version, which is promising. I tried flashing the BIOS on my 560 to the A04 version by using the /forceit command. But I still can't find any clear Legacy option. It looks identical to the A06 version that I had before flashing.

none of those models have 2012 UEFI bios. There is no switching they are Legacy by default,
F12 brings up Booting usb IF the usb is installed before power on.
Some of the Mini Dells don't have F12 so you press Zero on the keyboard instead of F12 if you don't have an F12 Key.
Pressing F12 does not format usb flash drives to have active partitions nor does it make them bootable.

Oh, that's good. Thanks for your fast reply. I managed to get Remix to boot from the Dell Mini 10 by using the 32-bit Legacy version on a USB flash drive. My model has the F12 key, and it managed to boot into Guest Mode without an issue. I am trying to boot into Resident mode now. It makes a lot of sense why the 64-bit version wouldn't work... stupid me.
Still haven't found a way to get the Inspiron 560 or Optiplex 755 to boot into Remix, but I have been trying the 64-bit Legacy version. I'll try the 32-bit version and see if it works on them as well, though, it still doesn't make much sense.

Live UBUNTU 12.04LTS and up and Knoppix 7 from CD or DVD or usb works fine on all those models.
