Complete white screen at the end of MDT task sequence

I'm recently testing the E7470, E7270, and Precision 5510. I've noticed with the 5510 and E7270 I will get an all white screen where the MDT task sequence summary should be. It appears that the contents in C:\Windows\Temp\Deploymentlogs is deleted which is why it won't show the Wizard.hta screen. I've only ever seen this on these models though and there are about 30 others that I've tested. Has anyone else seen this?

I am getting this exact problem on a precision 7510. What is the issue? I can't complete the MDT build process and there are no logs!

Any luck figuring this out?  I'm having same issue on new E5570

Same issue here on an Optiplex 7040. I didn't have any issues in my test environment running on Hyper-V virtuals. I'm also fairly certain that when using the same task sequence from USB media that the TS finished normally (another test running now). I suspect the issue is due the NIC on the optiplex but not where to go from there.

USB deployment just succeeded without any error. Any ideas for troubleshooting this network related issue on Dell machines deployed via MDT?

This is happening because the NIC driver that you are using is out of date. Windows is searching for a new driver and is swapping the driver in the middle of the deployment process. This causes an intermittent loss of network connectivity.

Load a newer NIC driver into the Deployment Workbench, and you should be fine.

See my answer, here:

Cool, glad you got around it.

Keep in mind that the Windows Update process looks for the latest NIC driver available from the NIC's manufacturer - in other words, if Intel offers a newer driver version than Dell, Windows Update would download and install the newer version from Intel.

Should you need it, this page offers another possible workaround:

I went the route of temporarily disabling Windows Update during deployment and that's resolved the issue. It's been awhile so i don't recall but I'm pretty sure i tried the latest NIC drive provided by Dell and it was still happening.
