I do not know this for a fact, but I have a Inspiron 8000 that is over 3 years old and I have used a 60 GB in the modular bay.  I would think that a newer computer could do the same.

 

 

Yeah, I thought this should be the case as well. They did mention it will only take 5400 HDD as well...

Now I know they do not know what they are talking about.  The 60GB hard drive that I was referring to is a 7200 RPM and it worked just fine.  It is a IBM (Hitachi) 7K60.
