IEEE 1394 Plug

Question

Hello,    Just recently, I receive a Dell Dimension 8300 series computer.  Today, I was going to try and use my ipod, but to my surprise, I could not find the right 'slot' for the ipod's firewire.  I believe it is the IEEE 1394 slot.  Am I going insane here or is there no slot?

It you bought an Audigy2 sound card it will have a 1394 port, otherwise, you'll need to buy a 1394 card.

The 8300 does not come standard with a 1394 port.  It will only be present if you ordered with the Soundblaster Audigy 2 sound card. Steve
