DELL Inspiron 15 3000 Series Win 8.1 can't connect to Linksys E1200 WIFI

I installed a new router at home. All devices are working ok but the Dell Inspiron can't connect to the wifi.

I try updating the drivers using the following installer:

Network_Driver_HP06Y_WN_10.0.0.276_A00.EXE

But after restart the notebook it still can't connect to wifi. Windows doesn't help with the error message:

This version of windows is really poor. I feel very frustrated with windows, because it doesn't say anything about the issue in order to guide / help me to find a solution. I can't believe how dark is it.

The current driver version installed is 10.0.0.276:

Windows event viewer also doesn't show any error that could help to solve the problem.

Searching Internet didn't find anything useful.

Anybody could help?

I'm sure it's a drivers or configuration problem, because I have many other devices connected to the wifi and the only problem is with the DELL notebook.

But the product support of dell says:

"No driver updates found. Your system has the most recent updates"

After running the drivers update detector from here:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/servicetag/8VTJ632/drivers

If I connect the DELL to other wifi network it works. So, there is an incompatibility between DELL notebook and my WiFi Router.

How can I fix that .. I can't imagine ..

You sure windows 10 isn't on the system ? The service tag number in the link you provided is for windows 10, 64 bits.

I'm assuming it's windows 8.1....

Here're a few suggestions;

- Run the Network troubleshooter to see if it can diagnose and fix the problem. Press the Start button, type Network problems, and then select Identify and repair network problems in the list.

- Make sure WIFI switch is turn on. Please swipe in from the right edge of the screen, click Settings, Network icon, and then turn on Wi-Fi.

- Make sure computer isn’t in airplane mode. Please click Settings again, Network icon, and then turn off Airplane mode.

" The current driver version installed is 10.0.0.276 (Dell Wireless 1705 WiFi + Bluetooth driver) "

Lastly....

I'd suggest you roll back to Dell Wireless 1704 WiFi + Bluetooth driver and see if that makes a difference. You can roll back driver in Device Manager. Please right click 1705 WIFI driver, click on 'Properties", and then Driver. Here's an picture of my wireless driver(Device Manager) below.

Note: I've mentioned making sure Airplane switch is turn off and WIFI switch is turn on, I also suggest you make sure Bluetooth switch is turn on as well.

:emotion-2:..... few more suggestions here.

Please click Start button, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator. At the command prompt, run following commands in the listed order below and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:

Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.

Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.

Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.

Type  ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter
