Inspiron 1545 and Windows 10 64 bit
I have an Inspiron 1545, running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. My machine can run 64 bit systems. I want to install Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Has anyone done this and is it successful, or can anyone let me know if it will run Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. According to Dell my 1545 has not been tested for Windows 10 and they say they are not supplying drivers, or updates for drivers for my laptop. It is compatible by Dell to run Windows 7 64 bit, so I thought maybe the drivers for Windows 10 are the same as for Windows 7. Any advice much appreciated.

Unfortunately, the Windows 7 drivers will not work in Windows 10.

I have a 1545 which been running Win 10 on for a couple of years. I had previously replaced the Wi-Fi card which upgraded the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
I have noticed no other problems with the system. I moved from 32 to 64 bit by installing Win 10 as 32 bit then, after getting the Digital Activation, doing a clean install with the x64 version.
