Poweredge R420 iRDAC initialization error SWC0700

version: idrac7 Express

two days ago Server worked normally ... Powered off and on.

and entered in "idrac not ready" state, lcd also not lit.

Probed - all without good result:

- taking off power cords ... and connecting back

- holding "i" button 25sek

- trying to reflash firmware gives "Update package is not compatible with your system configuration"

Info:

on idrac settings shown "Idrac settings version 1.55.55.0"
 and SWC0700

How to flash idrac firmware when LCC is not accessible /as is disabled when idrac is not started/ ???

Hello

If hardware will not initialize then you cannot update it. Sometimes hardware will initialize enough to become partially functional, in that case you can sometimes update it. Since you are receiving messages that the update is not compatible it does not appear the iDRAC is functional enough to be updated.

Other steps you can take before replacing the system board are minimum-to-POST and clearing the NVRAM.
