Silverlight stops to work with OME 2.3

Hi,

we have new installation of OpenManageEssentials_2_3_A00 on W2012R2 working well untill yesterday. I'm used to work with OME localy on this W2012R2 server. I was logged out after timeout and when I tried to log in again I've got "To view this content, please install Silverlight" screen. I can see Silverlight 5.1.50907.0 in installed programs (but OME should have its own bundled Silverlight, am I true?) and there were no updates yesterday. The same behaviour in IE, Firefox as well as Chrome. If I run "C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\bin\omelaunch.exe" I need to log with my domain account first but Silverlight isn't loaded then. I can't see it in currently loaded add-ons but it's avalaible and enabled in all add-ons. Shall I re-install Silverlight? Or OME?

Hi, thanks for the query.

There might be some corruption with Silverlight plugin on the system. You should reinstall Silverlight (uninstall first) and subsequently try repairing OME 2.3. This should resolve the issue.

Hi,

thanks for your advice. I reinstalled Silverlight and repaired OME but unfortunatelly it did not helped and all browsers still wanted to install Silverlight. Silverlight add-on is enabled and it is allowed on all sites but it's not loaded if I use FQDN OME URL. Only way is to use localhost:2607 URL. I'm able to run OME somehow again now but I have no idea what changed to break using omelaunch.exe.

I would request you to get in touch with Dell Support to further assist on this problem.
