Either be careful to UNcheck any pre-checked offers for bundled programs/toolbars (unless you really want them)... or else, wait a few days until the SLIM build is released.

Concerning the MS updates, is there much of a difference between the "preview" and what is actually presented today

Dale,

My understanding of the preview is that, initially, it should be the same as what's being offered today.   However:

1) If it turns out the preview has any "bugs" in it, Microsoft will certainly try to fix things before offering it mainstream.   (In this sense, the preview serves as a "beta test" for those willing to try it.)

2) If there are any last-minute exploits discovered, Microsoft may --- time permitting --- adjust for these as well.

I have declined the previews so far, waiting for the standard/scheduled updates.
