Ssd on xps 8300

How successfully SSD can be  attached to xps 8300 motherboard? Having dell 0y2mrg motherboard.  Some say it can be and some say it cannot.  What is the conclusion?

The conclusion is that some do not know what they are talking about.  There are NO SLOTS for M2 or MSATA SSD on the motherboard.

You could add a specific SSD controller to the X1 slot.   Velocity SOLO.

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.

XPS 8300 supports only SATA hard drives and SSD's are not supported.

Below are the capacities of the SATA hard drives:

500 GB

750 GB

1 TB

1.5 TB

2 TB

I am interested in adding SATA Ssd.  Not MSATA.  Possible?

XPS 8300 supports only SATA hard drives and SSD's are not supported.

Yes. I'd suggest a Samsung 850 series, as I've had good results with those, and a Silverstone SDP08 adapter bracket
