Dual Monitors on a Dell Inspiron 3668 - On board Graphics

Hi all,

What's the best solution to get a decent dual monitor setup for our new Dell desktop?

We currently have two AOC monitors connected one via HDMI, one via VGA but the user is complaining that the VGA one is a bit blurry.

Do we just have to *** it up or would using a VGA->HDMI converter improve things?

How about adding a cheap video card with a Displayport port?

Or should i just be able to set the monitor up manually to best cope with the VGA input.

All thoughts welcome :)

TVM, Dan

Hi Dan,

Welcome to our community.

To answer your question, the VGA supports less resolution compared to HDMI. Hence the video output when connected to VGA will be blurry. The best option we suggest is to upgrade the video card based on the power supply that the system supports. Let us know if you have further questions for us. We are more than happy to assist you.

Hi, I wanted to ask that can I put a GTX 1050ti in Dell Inspiron 3668 with a 240w?

I have seen a couple of videos in which people have successfully installed this graphics card in Inspiron 3650 which has 240w powersupply too.
