Can CentOS 6.4 and Redhat 4.1 be installed on DELL poweredge R630
Hi All,
i have some questions regarding the installation of both OSes on DELL poweredge R630.
I have crossed check the kernel versions in the redhat web site and the DELL supported OS for redhat enterprise
I understand the CentOS kernel is similar to Redhat`s, so will it be able to support CentOS?
the kernel versions are 2.6.32-642/6/2/el6.x86_64 and 2.6.18.128

Hi,
Based on the HCL that you linked to it should work fine. We do not validate CentOS, but it is basically identical to RHEL.
