Blue Recovery Screen: Error Code: 0xc0000225

After Windows 10 update on my Inspiron 7352,  my internet would constantly freeze up, no matter if I used Chrome or Internet Explorer. Attempted to revert back to Windows 8.  Now I am receiving a blue recovery screen with the error code listed in my subject line (which has changed about 3 times). Other times I try to start it up, I only get a black screen.  I can see my cursor move, but nothing else happens. My laptop does not have a cd-rom drive, so it didn't come with a recovery disk.  Does anyone know a fix that I can download to my external hard drive to help reboot my system?

Hi S.Chaney,

Thanks for posting.

You should be able to boot from a USB  thumb drive.  Did you create the re-installation USB when you first started Windows on the computer?

1. Insert the recovery media into a USB port and then power off system.

2. Power on system, quickly start tapping the F12 key continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen.

3. At the boot menu, select the device under UEFI BOOT that matches your media type (USB or DVD )

4. Select your keyboard language and then At the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.

Hi Robert,

Unfortunately I did not create a re-installation USB. Is there any way to download a fix online? I've seen so many different links, but not which one I should choose.

If you are unable to download it from the Dell Download Center, then please give Tech Support a call.  Thanks
