Dell XPS 8920 and want to boot from SSD M.2 slot

I know there has been lot's of discussion regarding booting from the SSD m.2 slot here but I still can't find a definite procedure to follow. Can someone give me a link(s). My system will arrive in in two days. Thanks for your input. I plan to install a Samsung 250 GTB Evo M.2 SSD.

Thanks

Jim

So I have found but they all seem to end unsuccessfully. I ran across one article earlier today on the Dell support site where Dell  listed three options but so far I not been able to find it again to print out.

They are literally everywhere.  It depends on how you want to do it.  You can clone your drive to the SSD, or you can install a fresh windows copy.  Those are the 2 most popular ways.

Hmm.. I found this here which may answer your question. A forum post by Dell itself in the laptop section here also has some interesting information. In my limited experience, you should download all the drivers for your computer, make sure the BIOS is up to date and the settings are correct which is explained in the first post.  Then disconnect the HDD and install the M.2 and install windows to that.
