I had  the same exact thing happen to me so have many others. I  tried re-installing certin drivers in different orders many many times with no luck and have also tried to Idenify the hardware winth no luck..As far as I know knowone has come up with a solution and Dell blames it on a software issue and will not help unless software support is purchased. Which I will not do as I feel I know a lot more then the majority of Dells techs( I don't want to sound arrogant but I am pretty expeirenced and also confident  in the way I re-instal a OS and know I am doing it right.  I am certin it is not from not installing the chipset and other drivers in  certin priorities and I have re-instaled useing every priority and also Dells exact recomendation for re-instaling windows 7. If someone with the same system can idenify the hardware for us then we can simply know which drivers to instal but as of yet no luck.It makes no difference if it is disabeled or not as it does not effect performance. I feel it can also be one setting in our bios that shold be disabeled rather then enabeled.

Best wishes

This is the driver you need for the Area 51.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I just encountered this exact same issue. Performed an OS reinstall, and am now getting a prompt in the device manager that the Serial ATA Controller has no drivers installed.  Did anyone ever resolve this issue? The link provided above is dead.  Thanks in advance for your help.

On Clean-Install, it's always Chipset Drivers first ... then these:

On Area-51, sounds like you are requesting one-or-the-other of these:

- JMicron JMB36X RAID Controller R306304

- Silicon Integrated Systems SIL3132 Controller R201623
