Dell Wireless 1703 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver v10.0.0.318 (A00) Install failures
Hello
Dell Support continues to recommend this driver update on my Dell XPS 2720. But it continues to fail, returning
Vendor Software Return Code: 7
[04/02/18 11:52:09] logo.png
[04/02/18 11:52:09] Name of Exit Code: ERROR
[04/02/18 11:52:09] Exit Code set to: 1 (0x1)
[04/02/18 11:52:09] Result: FAILURE
[04/02/18 11:52:20] Open file: C:\ProgramData\Dell\UpdatePackage\Log\2720_Network_Driver_JJM89_WN32_10.0.0.318_A00.txt
in the log file. Has anyone else experienced this? I have tried installing from Dell Update, and also downloaded and run the update from the Desktop but I get the same failure each time. Thanks in advance!

That is an old driver you should use version 10.0.0.352:

There is an even newer driver on Windows Update catalog - 10.0.3.456: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Qualcomm+802.11b%2fg%2fn
or
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Qualcomm+QCA9565
I am really hopeful for a driver that contains the patch for the WPA-2 KRACK vulnerability.
According to Del, QCA9377 drivers are available somewhere:
http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln307822/wi-fi-security-protocol-key-re-installation-attack-krack-impact-status-on-dell-products
but not on Windows update catalog, the latest driver is still 12.0.0.468:
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Qualcomm+QCA9377
Also there is nothing in the advisory about QCA9565 driver which most likely would cover Dell Wireless 1703 (PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&CC_0280).

Thank you Philip......I lost my Bluetooth capability after I conducted a required Windows 10 update. Found your online fix and installed it.....and I now have my Bluetooth back.
Thanks again.....Phil ( Sydney, Australia)
