Dell Inspiron 7567 Microphone Doesn't Working

 Hello, After the MOBO fails and the Dell technician come and replace it with the new one, the mic suddenly won't working. Audacity, Windows Built in Recording are saying the audio device not configured correctly. Looking at the control panel, all drivers are up-to-date. Looking at the audio props, the speaker is fine but the mic isn't. Even the green bar won't show up.

And yes, trying to uninstall device and driver, reinstalling software, million times of turning off and on, change between USB ports and other things that have been told by websites in Google already been tried.:Computer:

But Cortana working just fine, she can hear me, magically ( oh no, Microsoft implanted a microphone inside me )

Help Guys, I really need to record some Gaming Sessions :Crying:

Hi Valerian Santosa,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

If the microphone is able to connect to Cortana, then the hardware is probably okay, but try running a systems diagnostics anyway.  You can press F12 or run Dell Support Assist, make a note of any error messages and post back.

If there are no hardware errors, then start troubleshooting the software.  Please make sure the game drivers are installed.  You may have to reinstall it for the drivers to load.  You may wish to contact the game's support to do that.

Thank you for your message. Please run the Recording audio troubleshooter, type troubleshoot on the start screen – click on Recording audio & run troubleshoot.

Has there been any recent change to the system like a Windows or BIOS update?

Did you try using a different application to check if the mic works?

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

Hi, I have the same problem with my G5 15 - suddenly on Monday 11 Feb the mic and speakers "didn't exist" anymore and I've tried to reinstall the drivers etc but to no avail. Yesterday I had support on the line for an hour and they also couldn't find the problem. I did notice that the drivers were updated on the Sunday evening (10 Feb) so I'm pretty sure that's where the problem came in. Please can someone advise me how to get my speakers and mic back? I can't work because I do a lot of online meetings!!!
